Blessing Our Communities Through Local Houses of Prayer

Come and hear about how to start a Local House of Prayer right where you live.
Local House of Prayer started in Southwest Wales at a remote Christian House of Prayer and Retreat Center called Ffald-y-Brenin. The Blessing of God continues to be poured out there and people are pouring in from many nations experience this move of God. Many are being blessed and healed as the deaf hear, the lame walk, and joy arises to heaven!
People across the world are intentionally praying for their neighborhoods, workplaces and schools as “Local Houses Of Prayer”. They stay in touch with each other and gather regularly to be blessed; practice blessing; and share their stories of what God is doing.
The surrounding area is being blessed and transformed through the people who come to be in God's presence and then go out again to bless the community.
Janelle Nisly and Sharon Van Horn experienced this while attending Ffald-y-Brenin’s June conference. The experience of God’s presence was called “Breathing in" and going out into the community to bring the Blessing of God’s Presence was called "Breathing Out".
Imagine such an expression of the Kingdom of God where you live, orwork, or in your home groups.
We believe the Local Houses of Prayer movement is a way of experiencing the Kingdom of God breaking out where God has placed each of us. We want to encourage people to start a Local House of Prayer (LHOP) to pray and speak blessings over your neighbors, families and friends.
Local Houses of Prayer are established very simply, using the Lord's Prayer as a framework a well as speaking out various blessings. Individually, participants are asked to pray for 5 people for 5 minutes a day for 5 days a week for 5 weeks. There is a simple small group meeting each week or every two weeks where people worship, share, give testimony, pray together and encourage each other.
This is a great way to encourage individuals and churches to engage in their own communities, and they can expect the Lord to use them to answer their prayers
Lives are being changed and opportunities open up for people to share the Gospel of Christ.
Let's believe God to bring these changes we long to see in our families, in our communities, in the workplace and wherever God has placed us.
